摘要: Retroperitoneal varices may occasionally resemble retroperitoneal masses on computed tomography and B-mode ultrasound. Biopsy could be disastrous in this situation angiography has previously been required to establish the diagnosis suspected cases. This unusual problem can nowadays readily diagnosed by colour Doppler. We report a case which were initially misinterpreted ultrasound as masses, but Doppler established without need for further investigations.
