摘要: This chapter gives an introduction to suspension spray techniques and discusses present research activities in the field of spraying using plasma flame spray-based methods. Suspension feedstock is liquid form, leading unique complex interaction with jet or flame. Therefore, main focus deals hot gas followed by particle formation downstream jet. Due small size particles that are order magnitudes smaller compared ordinary processes, consolidation coatings derived from a process exhibits features not found manufactured standard Although there some problems related coating formation, has potential create advantageous properties for many future applications. In install process, manufacturing equipment be adapted meet special requirements spraying. Present concerning component development comprise feeder devices, injectors, torches. Development concentrating on combustion processes. Most initiated labs, but first, components already offered commercially. The most important question what technological benefit can technique general. fact, numerous applications seriously discussed. Virtually all fields modern technology addressed Some promising application will discussed this chapter, like thermal barrier applications, high-temperature fuel cell (SOFC) development, catalytic coatings, biomedical wear resistance tribofunctional surfaces.
