Intracranial germ-cell tumor with synchronous lesions in the pineal and suprasellar regions: report of six cases and review of the literature.

摘要: Abstract The features of intracranial germ-cell tumor with syn-chronous lesions in the pineal and suprasellar regions (GCTSPS) six patients were investigated. GCTSPS accounted for 12.8% all tumors (GCT) our brain study group. In cases, initial symptoms attributable to lesion, due GCT developed only after admission. Five cases histologically diagnosed as germinoma. both disappeared irradiation, resulting no recurrence an average 55.3 months. Our experience reports literature suggest that is highly sensitive radiation most although some indicated frequent therapy alone. It suggested histological diagnosis one undertaken make a plan following treatment.
