摘要: The author discusses the interrelationship of genetic predisposition, experiences in first 3 years life, and psychological disturbance later development. current emphasis on determinism has led to popular misconception that early relationships with caregivers play a relatively minor role development mental disorder. argues attachment matter because mechanism moderating expression individual genotypes is intrinsically linked relationship primary caregiver. Attachment infancy evolutionary function generating mind capable inferring things about other people's minds, their thoughts, ideas, motivations, intentions. child needs be able make these inferences arrive at representation self terms set stable generalized intentional attributes.
