摘要: School sector and educational context seem to make a difference in civic socialization. There is limited knowledge, however, of the mechanisms through which socialization may occur public private schools, extent they have any lasting effect. Does school effect on persist into young adulthood, if it does, what explains effect? Analyzing data from NELS:88 using HLM, results this study show that, net background controls, there participation but mediated contextual factors family – such as parent-school involvement, intergenerational closure, student-teacher relationships prior that account for adult behavior.
