摘要: The responses of aphid parasitoids to completely synthetic and plant-extracted nepetalactone, a component sex pheromones, were investigated. In wind tunnel tests, Praon volucre Aphidius ervi responded equally strongly both 99% pure (4aS,7S,7aR)-nepetalactone. the field, aphid-infested cereal trap plants used test attractiveness (4aS,7S,7aR)-nepetalactone, as well enantiomer (4aR,7R,7aS)-nepetalactone. There was no significant difference in parasitisation levels by spp. between baited with or 7S isomers. However, 7R isomer unattractive alone rendered when combined form 50% blend two. It is concluded that response nepetalactone influenced more enantiomeric purity rather than possible presence plant-related contaminants associated plant extraction. results are compared data on male compounds, which indicate plant-derived can reduce attractancy, implications for manipulation field discussed.
