摘要: Virtual worlds (also known as MMORPGs, MMOGs and assorted other acronyms [1]) raise awkward questions concerning how they are governed, central to which is the status of developers such worlds. The currently solidifying view legal establishment that themselves de facto government their respective creations, while being in turn subject laws whatever real–world asserts jurisdiction. players virtual worlds, however, agreeing governments take precedence, have traditionally not considered be acting governments; rather regard them deities for (virtual) reality. This paper argues players’ better metaphor, insofar it leads (experientially artistically) than does developers–as–government model.
