摘要: Abstract It has been reported that benfluorex ameliorates the insulin resistance induced by high-fat feeding when its administration is initiated at same time as change in diet. Here we have examined whether reverses this established middle-aged rats chronically maintained on a Untreated 12-month-old had subjected to diet for last 6 months showed markedly lower insulin-induced stimulation of 2-deoxyglucose uptake strips soleus muscle and reduced expression GLUT4 glucose carriers skeletal muscle. However, animals protocol but treated with during month marked improvement insulin-stimulated transport Benfluorex treatment caused substantial increase content protein white muscle; however, levels red remained low. Our results indicate: (i) (ii) active even it administered once insulin-resistant state already established; (iii) reversion can occur independently modifications expression.
