摘要: This paper develops an integrated strategy to model the urban development and ecological dynamics in Central Puget Sound Region. effort is part of Regional Integrated Synthesis (PRISM) – interdisciplinary initiative at University Washington aiming develop a dynamic understanding environmental human systems Sound. We describe that predicts stresses associated with related changes land use activities under alternative demographic, economic, environmental, policy scenarios. build on UrbanSim, existing simulation developed by Waddell [42]. The principal actors, represented as objects corresponding businesses, households, developers, governments, make choices about location development. extend object properties methods now implemented UrbanSim predict three types human-induced stressors: conversion, resource use, emissions. core will be revised from its current aggregate structure one based microsimulation, zone description space high-resolution grid structure. spatially explicit process-based landscape modeling approach replicate ecosystem processes represent use–cover interactions regional scale. output serve input several biophysical models for hydrology, hillslope stability, water quality, atmosphere, ecosystems. Ecological feed back both households business locations, availability resources.
