摘要: This chapter reviews the use of medications in treatment individuals with bulimia nervosa (BN) and binge-eating disorder (BED), two mental disorders defined by presence binge eating. Drug classes evaluated include antidepressants, stimulants, other for attention-deficit/hyperactivity (ADHD), antiepileptic drugs, opioid antagonists, weight loss agents, among others. The only drugs regulatory approval eating are fluoxetine BN lisdexamfetamine BED. Other available established efficacy BED antidepressants (especially selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) topiramate, though these compounds is modest at best. We found no evidence a drug developed specifically or Importantly, until eating, conditions that centrally acting associated beneficial psychotropic effects reduced appetite might be considered repurposing
