摘要: We applied dendrochronological methods for dating landslide activity in the study area (3.75 km2), on slopes of Sucha Mountain (1040 m a.s.l.), Beskid Żywiecki Mountains, Western Carpathians. 46 sampling sites were distributed throughout area. At each site we sampled 1-3 coniferous trees: Norway spruces (Picea abies Karst.) and/or silver firs (Abies alba Mill.). From tree 2 cores sampled: one from upslope and other downslope side stem. Based tree-ring widths measured opposite sides stems have calculated eccentricity index values dated past events. Mean frequency landslides was obtained site. Finally, data interpolated into a map activity. Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) interpolation has been applied. For most found medium (19 sites) low (23 levels The highest level recorded largest slope small landslide. conducted shown that dendrochronology can be an effective method analysing may useful further studies, including those hazard risk assessments.
