摘要: The chemistry of sulfide mine tailings treated with potassium ferrate (K2FeO4) in aqueous slurry has been investigated. reaction system is believed to parallel a geochemical oxidation which ion replaces oxygen. This chemical utilized pipeline (as plug flow reactor) may have application eliminating the potential for leach acid while recovering metal from tailings. Elemental analyses were performed using an ICP spectrometer phase extract tailings; and SEM-EDX tailing solids. Solids analyzed before after treatments applied. shows that as mass ratio increases, concentration metals solution increases; EDX indicates corresponding decrease sulfur content extraction reduction significant. kinetic timeframe on order minutes.
