摘要: Objective. We examine the proposition put forward by term limit advocates and some scholars that implementation of limits will lead to increases in numbers women serving state legislatures. Methods. Data are examined for all house races six states implemented 1998. Results. Although there was variation across states, overall number seats were term-limited actually decreased following election. Conclusions. More research is needed as more implement future elections. However, our analysis suggests limits, unaccompanied efforts recruit run seats, may be insufficient increase legislators.
