摘要: We present results of hydrodynamic calculations iron core collapse and subsequent shock propagation using the 12M/sub c/irdot 15M/sub initial models Woosley Weaver. A softening equation state neutron-rich nuclear matter at high density effects general relativity play a crucial role in generating successful, prompt explosions. The energy explosion varies from (approx. 1 to 3) x 10/sup 51/ ergs depending upon degree softness.
