摘要: Monolithic cartridges including a plurality of nominally aligned polymer fibers (20) can be used as stationary phase materials for liquid chromatography separations. Bundles are packed together so to form capillary channels (24) between the (20). Different compositions permit 'chemical tuning' separation process. The physically or chemically bonded at spaced locations throughout cartridge under pressure by use an encasing wrap (24). Use allows wide range flow rates with very low backpressures. Applications in HPLC, cap-LC, prep-scale separations, analytical waste remediation/immobilization, extraction selected organic molecules/ions from solution, purification streams (process waste, drinking water, pure solvents), selective cell matter and bacteria growth media, immobilization envisioned.
