摘要: Trifluoroacetic acid is easily formed by hydrolysis of 1,1,1-trichloro-2,2,2-trifluoroethane with water in the presence a catalyst comprising an inorganic metal compound, preferably chloride Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu or Zn. Preferably reaction carried out as vapor phase contact at 200°-400° C., using 5-15 moles per mole trichlorotrifluoroethane.
