摘要: This paper presents an overview of the application fiber optics in subscriber loop plant. A review limitations existing plant networks is given and characteristics that offer to overcome these are examined. Possible network topologies for optic systems discussed current designs, particularly those based on a centrally switched star configuration, described. The component availability, system cost other considerations discussed. Finally, features major field trials experiments highlighted.
