摘要: Protective immunity against viruses, bacteria, parasites and fungi is mediated by innate adaptive immune responses of the hosts. However, pathogens have developed strategies for subverting these thereby establishing persistent or chronic infections. Furthermore, anti-pathogen effector must be tightly regulated to prevent collateral damage host tissues. Regulatory T (Treg) cells that secrete immunosuppressive cytokines IL-10 /or TGF-β been implicated in both processes, assisting immunopathology helping pathogen evade protective immunity. This chapter discusses induction antigen-specific TGF-β-producing regulatory during infection gives some examples their different roles parasites, viruses fungi.
