摘要: Abstract Lactation records for somatic cell counts in milk, bacteriological culture results, antibiotic treatment mastitis, and production were formed cows 30 cooperating dairy herds Virginia. A second data set, including information approximatley 400 Virginia (not the original 30), was used to evaluate sires genetically count. Approximate genetic correlations between measures of count infection ranged from .36 .67. These highest (lowest) frequency by major (minor) pathogens. Corresponding phenotypic similar but slightly smaller. Neither nor well correlated with treatment. Production traits generally had small, negative relationships counts, rates infection, Correlations evaluations positive daughter averages (.20 .38) (.02 .13). Largest (absolute value) fat percentage (−.38) yield (−.28). Evaluation selection decreased may augment management programs reduction mastitis incidence.
