摘要: In a bone-conserving hip system, the proximal end of femur is resected to accept body with flat mating surface. An anchoring rod extends from rim on through hole bored femoral shaft and secured lateral side femur, thereby converting tensile stress introduced at ball head/neck assembly into compressive forces directed along longitudinal axis femur. Anti-rotation means, preferably in form plurality fins extending radially outward housing, are used minimize rotation relative once prosthesis seated.
