摘要: Experimental investigations were conducted on kenaf-polypropylene composites manufactured from preformed mats consisting of kenaf and polypropylene fibers in a ratio 1:1 weight to explore the prospects annual natural plant as reinforcements for polymer-matrix composites. Surface treatments comingled fiber first carried out using different coupling agents increase compatibility matrix. Kenaf-polypropylene composite laminates fabricated via compression molding. results indicated that, among chosen, maleated was most effective agent significantly improve mechanical performance Analyses Fourier transform infrared spectrometer scanning electron microscopy revealed that able promote strong adhesion between matrix at their interfaces. The outcomes study indicate use combination with surface modifications makes it possible efficiently produce reinforced excellent properties.
