摘要: The present invention provides compositions and methods useful for regulating fertilization use as a contraceptive based on the discovery herein of an oocyte specific protein, SAS1R (Sperm Acrosomal SLLP1 Receptor), which is sperm protein receptor. Six variants, including full length SAS1R, were identified. mSLLP1 co-localized to oocytes acrosomes acrosome-reacted sperm. Interactions between demonstrated by far-western analysis, in yeast two-hybrid system under stringent selection conditions, immunoprecipitation anti-mSLLP1 well converse. Purified recombinant was found have protease activity, inhibit in-vitro, induce immune response females. Together, results suggest proteolytically active, early embryo oolemmal metalloprotease receptor intra-acrosomal ligand target contraceptive.
