摘要: The apicomplexans are obligate intracellular protozoan parasites that rely on gliding motility for their migration across biological barriers and host-cell invasion egress. This unusual form of substrate-dependent is powered by the "glideosome", a macromolecular complex consisting adhesive proteins released apically translocated to posterior pole parasite action an actomyosin system anchored in inner membrane parasite. Recent studies have revealed new insights into composition biogenesis Toxoplasma gondii myosin-A motor identified exciting set small molecules can interfere with different aspects glideosome function.
