摘要: The Camelidae is the only taxonomic family known to possess functional heavy-chain antibodies, lacking light chains. We report here 2.5 A resolution crystal structure of a camel VH in complex with its antigen, lysozyme. Compared human and mouse domains, there are no major backbone rearrangements framework. However, architecture region that interacts VL conventional Fv different from any previously seen. Moreover, CDR1 region, although sequence homologous CDR1, deviates fundamentally canonical structure. Additionally, one half CDR3 contacts which immunoglobulins VL, whereas other protrudes antigen binding site penetrates deeply into active
