摘要: The bacterium Legionella pneumophila is capable of intracellular replication within freshwater protozoa as well human macrophages, the latter which results in serious pneumonia Legionnaires' disease. A primary factor involved these host cell interactions Dot/Icm Type IV secretion system responsible for translocating effector proteins needed to establish and maintain bacterial replicative niche. Several regulatory factors have been identified control expression effectors, one CpxRA two-component system, suggesting essentiality virulence. In this study, we generated cpxR, cpxA cpxRA in-frame null mutant strains further delineate role survival We found that cpxR essential Acanthamoeba castellanii, but not U937-derived macrophages. Transcriptome analysis revealed regulates a large number virulence-associated including effectors II secreted substrates. Furthermore, were more sodium resistant than parental strain Lp02, reaches maximal levels during postexponential phase. Taken together, our findings suggest key contributor L. virulence via regulation.
