摘要: Background. In unselected samples, the diagnosis of major depression (MD) is not highly reliable. It known if occasion-specific influences on reliability index familial risk factors for MD, or how associated with co-morbid anxiety disorders. Methods. An sample 847 female twin pairs was interviewed twice, 5 years apart, about their lifetime history (LTH) generalized disorder (GAD) and panic (PD). Familial were examined using structural equation models. Logistic regression used to identify clinical features that predict reliable diagnosis. Co-morbidity characterized continuation ratio test. Results. The a LTH MD over fair (j fl 0‐43). There no evidence reliability, heritability reliably diagnosed estimated at 66%. Subjects unreliably reported fewer symptoms and, only first interview, less impairment help seeking, or, second episodes longer illness. A GAD PD more prevalent among subjects MD. Conclusions. based single psychiatric interview incorporates substantial amount measurement error but there transient recall Quantitative indices multiple interviews should reflect both characteristics temporal order positive diagnoses.
