摘要: Abstract Governance reforms are required to establish adaptive and resilient urban water resource management that takes into account complexity, uncertainty immediate long term change. This paper details the outcomes of a qualitative, social science research project, drawing on insights from Australian practitioners (n = 90) across three cities explore effectiveness governance in contemporary context. The perceived current strategies were assessed through first application fit-for-purpose framework, which helps assess whether (anticipated) match intended purposes proposed applied strategies. provides important regarding need for mix centralised decentralised, formal informal, approaches support effective infrastructure during different stages adapting drought transitioning sensitive city is gradual suggest decentralised informal particularly early transformation processes (i.e. adaptation transition processes), whilst become more later transformation. As such, we have identified pattern configurations consecutive could provide policy makers guidance overcoming challenges.
