摘要: We visualized respiratory neuron network activity in the medulla of rat and mouse vitro by optical recordings using voltage-sensitive dye. The brainstem spinal cord 0- to 1-day-old Wistar rats 0-day-old mice isolated under deep ether anaesthesia were incubated a modified Krebs solution containing fluorescent Fluorescence signals corresponding detected CCD image sensor. Pre-inspiratory appeared limited region rostral ventrolateral [i.e. para-facial group (pFRG) region], preceding onset inspiratory about 500 ms. During phase, plateau more caudal at level most roots XIIth nerve (i.e. pre-Botzinger complex level). found that pre-inspiratory neurons which predominant subtype pFRG located area immediately beneath ventral pia mater facial nucleus. also analyzed wild type two kinds knock-out exhibit failure leading neonatal death due dysfunction central activity. clearly difference spatio-temporal pattern between both knockout mice.
