摘要: Tailored health information is important for generating patient-specific recommendations in clinical decision support systems and crafting education materials that are specifically customized to a patient. Many previous attempts generate tailored require complex representations, lack general applicability, inflexible content alterations. In this article, we describe simple, yet flexible approach tailoring communication. This generalized scalable relies on state representation of each individual an expandable rule drafting processing engine. It utilizes relational database schema simple table structure maintain individual's past current information. Content communication represented single which stores predefined logic describing the rules selecting applicable specific individuals. The flexibility, scalability, simplicity demonstrated by two diverse projects. One project has provided patient-tailored physicians over 82,000 patient encounters other generates questions messages patients through tool developed less than 4 months.
