Many-body effects and quantum coherence in electron transport through quantum dots

摘要: In this paper, I briefly review some recent aspects of electron transport through lateral quantum dots in the few-electron regime. These systems are very useful studying a wide range fascinating phenomena. Many these phenomena originate from intricate interplay between interactions and coherence. particular, describe developments concerning Kondo physics realisation charge qubits double dots. two examples illustrate how experimental advances studies provide us with an excellent testing ground to study fundamental problems condensed-matter (for instance, correlated electrons dissipation) unprecedented control. Some effects appearing nanostructures have no counterpart conventional systems. The nanotechnology for fabricating measuring sophisticated devices now exists may soon help gain new insights into number physical concepts related correlations coherence low dimensions.
