摘要: Epilepsy can be defined generally as intermittent neuronal dysfunction resulting from sudden, disorderly discharges of central nervous system (CNS) neurons. With the exception cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy is most prevalent human neurological disorder. Seizures are a symptom and either convulsive (with overt motor manifestations) or nonconvulsive (without involvement). The classification based on seizure phenotype complex often ambiguous. A plethora phenotypes may arise seizures originating in cortical subcortical brain regions. described generalized, involving cortex both hemispheres, partial, specific region. Partial further categorized simple loss consciousness) (consciousness impaired). Seizure also modified significantly by age (Delgado-Escueta et al., 1982). Because behavioral removed its biochemical physiological cause, controversial.
