摘要: Litter bags, containing aspen or aster leaf litter, were used to compare decomposition in areas that had burned and adjacent unburned forests northeastern Minnesota. Bags placed the field October 1971, 5 months after fire, again 1972 1973. collected periodically until 1974. There was no significant difference weight loss of litter bags between for on same date. Differences nutrient concentration only statistically but these differences small. The order net mobility from decomposing leaves K> Mg> Ca> P> N. Aster decomposed four times faster than did aspen, with a rate 1 6%y wk-1 original weight, compared 04%y wk-c1 aspen.
