摘要: The magnetism of rare-earth intermetallic compounds is investigated with a model Hamiltonian containing crystal field and exchange terms. An algebraic analysis the characteristic polynomial associated made it shown that, for Pr3+ (J=4) Nd3+ (J=9/2), in case cubic symmetry, ninth- tenth-degree polynomials are decomposed into simple factors. From these factors, analytical expressions eigenvalues, magnetic moments critical temperatures derived. results applied to PrAl2 NdAl2; parameters effective g factors easily obtained from field, Tc low-temperature data.
