摘要: Tumor hypoxia, or the condition of low tumor oxygenation, has been a focus considerable debate in radiation therapy for almost 50 yr since pioneering work Gray and colleagues (1) demonstrating an oxygen dependency radiosensitivity cells tissues. During this period, interest among researchers waxed waned as promising new directions emerged from laboratory, only to fail clinical trials. However, with emergence concepts development tools, prospect targeting hypoxia identifying patients who would most benefit approach appears more tangible clinically. This chapter discusses significance head neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCC) well past, present, future strategies microenvironmental factor.
