摘要: Silver iodide (AgI) nanoparticles were prepared by mechanochemical reaction technique (MCR) using silver nitrate (AgNO3) and potassium (KI) as reagents distilled water solvent. Mechanochemical involves the mechanical activation of solid-state displacement reactions at low temperatures in a ball mill. AgI with well-defined morphology, size phase compositions obtained. TEM images show that particle decreases function milling time. The powder X-ray diffraction patterns they are mixture - -phases. superionic transition temperature ( →) was slightly decreased after milling. ionic conductivity shows enhancement for all samples unmilled sample has highest (4.12 × 10−6 Sc m−1) room temperature. growth kinetics investigated. Two different values energy obtained indicated there two kind mechanisms nanoparticles. © 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
