摘要: Background Cognitive and motor decline, along with psychiatric symptoms, have a major impact on independence, nursing home admission, caregiver burden, mortality in Parkinson's disease (PD). The single most common genetic risk factor for developing PD is mutation the glucocerebrosidase (GBA) gene. Methods This work literature review regarding “GBA” “Parkinson's disease” as conducted by PubMed search. Results There higher prevalence of cognitive decline more rapid trajectory progression PD-GBA carriers, compared to noncarriers. carriers also domain-specific impairment, particularly visual memory tasks. may aggressive phenotype than noncarriers. Conclusions Early identification lead targeted therapies development new treatments.
