摘要: The risk of contracting acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a concern to otolaryngologists and other health care workers. Failure appreciate this valid dangerous, but overestimating it may be equally injurious the delivery good patient care. We review data on antibody titers recovery cultured virus in blood, saliva, middle ear fluid, cerumen, tears, nasal mucous. We also report initial findings prospective study at San Francisco General Hospital. It appears that transmission AIDS low can minimized by sound infection control measures similar those for hepatitis B.
