摘要: The efficient conversion of near infrared radiation into the 2-5 /spl mu/m waveband is considerable interest to applications that exploit mid-infrared atmospheric transmission windows. This work describes an experimental investigation synchronously pumped optical parametric oscillator (OPO) devices use two different steps. tandem OPO (TOPO) described uses separate periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) crystals. first crystal at 1.064 and generates signal idler beams 1.48 3.80 respectively. beam then pumps second generate tunable between 2.16-2.36 3.98-4.74 In OPO-DFM (difference frequency mixing) device both stages are located on a single PPLN crystal. part crystal, 1.46 3.90 generated. phased matched for difference mixing idler. Both build upon our earlier results in which was by amplified mode-locked laser.
