摘要: Abstract This paper, reports the infrared spectrum of cyclohexane (100–3400 cm−1) and cyclohexane-d12 (300–3400 cm−1), Raman with polarizations for both compounds. With these data vibrational assignments have been advanced considerably. Suggestions made all but two spectroscopically-active fundamentals, four totally-inactive frequencies are still unknown. The deuterated molecule required extensive modifications in previous assignments. One puzzling feature is rather strong evidence a methylene rocking frequency at 384 cm−1 cyclohexane, which startlingly low.
