Socialization into nursing: nursing students as learners.

摘要: In this article, we describe how the functionalist and interactionist approaches to socialization are exemplified in learning experiences of nursing students a 4-year baccalaureate program. A qualitative longitudinal exploratory research design was used study large western Canadian university. The findings suggest that student reflects combination approaches, with relative emphasis each approach varying over 4 years. first year, predominates as learn "ideal." second third confronting adapting reality, which requires more approach. Fourth year look beyond their practice situation they anticipate prepare for reality world. This article concludes implications education.
