摘要: The Multi-Well Experiment (MWX) is a research oriented field laboratory whose objective to develop the understanding and technology allow economic production of several years supply natural gas estimated be within low permeability, lenticular sands Western United States. Features MWX include: (1) three closely-spaced wells (115-215 ft, 35-66 m) for reservoir characterization, interference testing, well-to-well geophysical profiling, placement diagnostic instrumentation adjacent fracture treatment; (2) complete core taken through formations interest; (3) comprehensive analysis program; (4) an extensive logging program with conventional experimental logs; (5) determination in situ stresses bounding shales; (6) use various seismic surveys sedimentological analyses determine lens morphology extent; (7) seismic, electrical potential, tilt techniques hydraulic characterization; (8) series stimulation experiments address key questions. This paper presents current accomplishments resulting from 1983 season which featured drilling third well first experiment.
