摘要: Objective: Abrus precatorius (L.) is a tropical plant and used in traditional medicine for treatment of wide range ailments. Lately, plants with medicinal properties have gained importance their potential therapeutic use diseases caused due free radicals. Hence, the present investigation was carried out to estimate total phenolic flavonoid content radical scavenging activity fresh dry parts . Methods: Plant material collected from Karnala forest Maharashtra. Extracts leaves, stem, root seed (fresh dry) were prepared using four different solvents i.e. Distilled water, Ethanol, Methanol Acetone. Each extract tested content, antioxidant (by FRAP, DPPH ˙ ABTS + assays), while compounds like Gallic acid, Catechol, Vanillin, Caffeic p-Coumaric acid Ferulic detected quantified RP-HPLC. Results: Seeds showed highest (8.99±0.27 mg GAE/g) DPPH˙ (88.34±0.08 %) methanolic extracts. The leaves had (145.68±0.99 RE/g). found be seeds followed by root, stem. proved best solvent extraction phenolics, antioxidants. Conclusion: This study substantiates high A. Therefore, it can as source natural antioxidants drug formulations resulting oxidative stress.
