摘要: The annual global increase in the production, particularly from aquaculture, and consumption of seafood is expected to continue future. One main worldwide concerns point view safety increasing number novel unexpected chemical substances that contaminate aquatic environment. Currently, there a lack cost effective, user-friendly methods detect many these contaminants no method unknown contaminants. A paradigm shift necessary production industry contaminant detection only, monitoring effects as well. This can be achieved by introducing systems approach using biological warning system (BWS) specifically adapted fish farming. In this manner, it would possible develop affordable, on-line identification units displaying atypical responses or behaviour – therefore potentially contaminated regardless whether an identified substance. Once developed, BWS should implemented within HACCP plans results accompany traceability documentation products.
