Production of 2,5-Diformylfuran from Biomass-derived Glucose via One-Pot Two-Step Process

摘要: As a furan derivative from 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) or other biomass-based carbohydrates, 2,5-diformylfuran (DFF) is one of the most important platform molecules in organic chemicals industry. Although it has many potential applications future, production DFF on large scale currently challenge. an alternative to HMF, target product could be obtained biomass-derived glucose with complex catalytic system (AlCl3•6H2O/NaBr and vanadium compound assisted molecular oxygen) carried out N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF). In this research, reactions were conducted reactors different capacities. The results showed that yields based reach 35 48% almost complete transformation glucose. This one-pot two-step reaction characterized by abundance low cost starting materials elimination separation purification HMF. great for future after further advancements optimizations.
