摘要: The Metastasis Associated Lung Adenocarcinoma Transcript 1 (MALAT1) is among long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) which has disapproved the old term of "junk DNA" was used for majority human genome are not transcribed to proteins. An extensive portion literature points fundamental role this lncRNA in tumorigenesis process diverse cancers ranging from solid tumors leukemia. Being firstly identified lung cancer, it prognostic and diagnostic values several cancer types. Consistent with proposed oncogenic roles lncRNA, most studies have shown up-regulation MALAT1 malignant tissues compared non-malignant/normal same source. However, few down-regulation breast endometrial colorectal glioma. In current study, we conducted a comprehensive search provided an up-date on biology. Our investigation underscores potential as diagnostic/prognostic marker putative therapeutic target MALAT1.
