摘要: The Millimeter Array (MMA) is a synthesis imaging telescope designed to provide sensitive, high-precision astronomical at sub-arcsecond, 0'.1, resolution millimeter and submillimeter wavelengths. In order achieve these goals it necessary locate the on an extremely dry site so as minimize atmospheric background emission; receiver noise temperatures should be near limit imposed by photon antenna warm spillover contribution minimized. It possible quantify each of requirements, interactions among them, maximum sensitivity for Array. Together, requirements lead technical design
