摘要: In this paper, we investigated the effect of titanium modification on microstructures and properties carbidic austempered ductile iron (CADI) containing 3.72 wt.% C, 2.77 wt.% Si, 0.51 wt.% Mn. The results showed that with addition 0.1 wt.% Ti, TiC particles were formed, distributed in carbides matrix. Microstructural observation indicated maximum diameter graphite nodules decreased from 58 to 40 μm, shape transformed network fragmentation, which was related nucleation eutectic structure (γ + (Fe, Cr)3C) where act as nucleus. After isothermal quenching at 300 °C, hardness Ti-bearing CADI 3.5 HRC higher than ordinary CADI, impact toughness increased by 14.3%. Additionally, due decrease exfoliation, wear loss 14.8% lower during block-on-ring test surface load 300 N.
