摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter provides an overview of reports concerning conjugated ferrocene systems in the following three categories: (1) oligo- .and poly-ferrocenylenes, (2) oligomers and polymers with spacers, (3) ferrocene–acceptor compounds. The reviews studies mixed-valence complexes; as a result, redox properties functionalities are primary focus. In particular, analysis intramolecular electronic interaction based on neighboring-site model, isomerization behavior azoferrocene, proton-coupled electron transfer ferrocene–quinone complexes described each category. fundamental properties, especially behavior, have been surveyed. Various kinds dinuclear synthesized their physical investigated. To understand electron-transfer mechanism dynamics such is important elucidating concepts regarding development redox-based molecular devices. next stage research should be to identify events between multiple nuclei, control internuclear using external stimuli, combine abilities ferrocene.
