摘要: Testes of the palaemonid shrimp Macrobrachium rosenbergii were prepared for study in light, scanning and transmission electron microscopes shown to be composed solid, convoluted cords tissue two major sets cells, spermatogenic sustentacular cells. Among preleptotene spermatocytes encysted spermatozoa most frequent occurrence. The cells sent long, cytoplasmic extensions ramifying between around tightly packed seminiferous separated from basal lamina which surrounded cords. Spermatocytes formed desmosome-like short gap junctions with one another, while intermediate-like spermatocytes. No special cell another encountered present study.
