摘要: Falling trees pose a great hazard to the safe and uninterrupted use of road transportation system during storm events. The present process manually identifying potentially hazardous is laborious inefficient. This paper presents novel methodology for automating tree threat identification by using airborne laser altimetry data geographical information (GIS). has potential be used selecting best possible evacuation routes based on hazards. proposed method harnesses power spatial analysis functionality provided existing GIS software high-quality, three-dimensional (3D) obtained from an scanning system. highlights benefits related using: (1) Height calculation tall objects; (2) (3) object irregular 3D light detection ranging point over currently employed manual methods.
